CAL's #1 Player Named Monday, June 6th , 2022 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the California League, but last week Jacob Sanford of the Lancaster JetHawks reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Sanford rocked opposing pitching for a .458 average (11-for-24), 3 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award. For the season, Sanford is hitting at a .274 clip with 15 home runs, 41 RBIs and has scored 35 runs. He has 55 hits, 26 walks and a .381 on-base percentage. |
