CAL's Best Player, Jacobs of Lake Elsinore Monday, June 20th , 2022 22-year-old Michael Jacobs made a few Lake Elsinore headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and California League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 22 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Jacobs collected 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 6 runs. In 2022 Jacobs has hit at a .306 clip with 63 hits, 11 home runs, 37 RBIs and has scored 27 times. |
