Hampton Selected Player of the Week Monday, July 4th , 2022 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the California League, but last week Maurice Hampton of the Modesto Nuts reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Hampton rocked opposing pitching for a .520 average (13-for-25), 2 home runs and 4 RBIs to come away with the award. A look at his season totals shows Hampton with 12 home runs, .299 BA, .378 OBP, 44 RBIs and 49 runs scored. |
