CAL Announces Player of the Week Monday, July 15th , 2024 Joseph Ortiz of the Visalia Rawhide put the wraps on a fantastic week of play by being named the California League Player of the Week. The hot-hitting first baseman was a bonafide batting machine as he racked up 13 hits in 24 at-bats, 1 home run, .542 BA, 4 RBIs, 6 runs, 1 walk and a .577 OBP. For the year Ortiz has hit at a .254 clip with 48 RBIs, 8 home runs and 37 runs scored. |
