Week's Best Player Honored by CAL Monday, July 10th , 2023 Not every ball that came off Arinori Ichikawa's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. For his exploits, Ichikawa was named this week's California League Player of the Week award. The Rancho Cucamonga first baseman put up 12 hits in 22 at-bats and 2 home runs while hitting .545 with 10 RBIs and 7 runs scored. This year Ichikawa has hit 17 home runs and posted a .277 batting average. |
