Quakes Pitching Ravaged by Harris Tuesday, August 1st , 2023 High Desert center fielder Mark Harris had a big day at BB&T Coastal Field today against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. The 26-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 6-for-6 and led the Mavericks to a 12-0 triumph over Rancho Cucamonga. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Harris said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Mark Harris hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ralph Norman in the 7th and singled in the 8th. For the season, Harris is hitting at a .354 clip with 10 home runs, 71 RBIs and has scored 62 runs. He has 137 hits, 43 walks and a .420 on-base percentage. View Boxscore |
