Hernández Wins CAL's Best Bat Trophy Friday, September 1st , 2023 San Jose Giants fans may just have witnessed a star player blossoming before their eyes in August. José Hernández put up a remarkable month at the age of 24 and has been named the California League Batter of the Month. For the month, Hernández hit .309 with 10 home runs, 24 RBIs and 22 runs scored. This season Hernández is swinging the bat at a .254 rate with 135 hits in 532 at-bats. To date he has hit 44 home runs, scored 88 runs and driven in 96. |
