No Comeback This Season for Cox Thursday, May 12th , 2022 Kevin Cox has to call it a season. The Tampa Tarpons starting pitcher learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 05/11/2022 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a torn labrum and stated that he would not be able to play for 10 months. The team will likely place Cox on the injured list today. Thus far this season, Cox has tossed 27.2 innings in 7 starts, fanned 17 batters, walked 15 and put up a 8.13 ERA with 1 win and 3 losses. |
