Season Ends for Swanson
Saturday, June 20th, 2020
Sean Swanson has to call it a season. The Clearwater Threshers reliever learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 06/17/2020 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a fractured elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 4-5 months. The team will likely place Swanson on the injured list today.

Swanson has earned no saves and a 4-0 mark this season with a 3.86 earned run average in 23 relief appearances. He has worked 35 innings, yielded 38 hits, struck out 20 batters and walked 8.
