Johnson 5-for-6 for Jupiter Friday, August 28th, 2020 It was a good day for the Hammerheads at Roger Dean Stadium as they clipped the Palm Beach Cardinals, 10-3. It was tremendous day for Ryan Johnson, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-6. "I don't know what to call that," the Jupiter shortstop told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Ryan Johnson doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Johnson is batting .248 with no home runs, 12 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 34 hits in 137 at-bats, 9 walks and a .293 OBP. Johnson has played in 34 games. View Boxscore |
