Saturday, October 2nd, 2021
At the age of 20, Cameron Jones says he still has a lot to learn about life in Florida State League.

But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Daytona Tortugas reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2021 Florida State League Reliever of the Year Award.

"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Lexington, Kentucky native said.

For the season, Jones had 18 saves in 51 relief appearances, which totaled 54.1. He fanned 65 betters, while walking 21 and put up a record of 5-1 to go with his 0.66 ERA.

He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 12. Eduardo Silva of the Clearwater Threshers finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Mike Beasley of the Charlotte Stone Crabs finished third.
