Chiefs Advance to Championship Tuesday, September 16th , 2025 The Peoria Chiefs are riding high after knocking off the Quad Cities River Bandits in the Round 1. "We're feeling confident now and that's half the battle," said Bruce Howard, who was named series MVP. "You play confidently, you play well and it shows up with results like this." Peoria won the final game by a 4-3 count at Modern Woodmen Park and the series 3-1. For the series, Howard hit .545 with a .643 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Peoria Chiefs will play against the Fort Wayne TinCaps in the next round.
