Granados Spins Shutout Against Clinton
Wednesday, June 24th, 2020
Peoria Chiefs hurler Carlos Granados was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Clinton LumberKings, shutting them out 7-0 on 3 hits.

"Carlos was very aggressive tonight," Peoria manager Quilvio Veras said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."

Through 9 innings, Granados tallied 4 strikeouts and allowed no walks.

"He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Don Wakamatsu said. "Granados has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."

His record this season is 3-5 in 12 starts and Granados has a 5.35 ERA.
