Smith Goes 5-for-6 Against Peoria
Friday, August 21st, 2020
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Burlington's 5-4 win over Peoria today, shortstop Adam Smith was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Dozer Park.

"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Smith said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."

Adam Smith doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.

So far this year in 118 games Smith is hitting .259 with 7 home runs, 54 RBIs and 48 runs scored.
