Nunez 5-for-5 for Shorebirds Friday, May 6th , 2022 Malcom Nunez put on a hitting clinic today as the Delmarva Shorebirds dumped the Hagerstown Suns 13-8 at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The Delmarva first baseman made Hagerstown defenders earn their pay, lashing Hagerstown pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it." "Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Nunez said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch." Malcom Nunez hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a three-run triple in the 7th.
