Lexington Shuts Out Hagerstown, 11-0
Friday, June 28th , 2024
Kaleb Applebey was in a mood to talk following the Lexington Legends contest against the Hagerstown Suns, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Suns, 11-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Applebey said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Hagerstown on a 4-hitter, allowing no walks and racking up 8 strikeouts.
This season Applebey has worked 80 innings with 75 strikeouts en route to a 5-3 record and a 3.94 ERA.
