Carroll on Fire: 5-for-9 for Augusta Wednesday, August 11th, 2021 It was a magical day at the plate for Augusta GreenJackets first baseman Rony Carroll. The 22-year-old Carroll helped lift Augusta to a 6-4 win over the Greenville Drive today at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Carroll smacked 5 hits in 9 at-bats to spark his club to victory. Rony Carroll tripled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th, walked in the 13th, struck out in the 15th, doubled in the 17th, flied out in the 19th and struck out in the 22nd.
