Hence Bewilders Hops in 6-0 Shutout Tuesday, June 27th , 2023 Markevian Hence kept the Hillsboro Hops hitters from doing any damage at Memorial Stadium today. Hillsboro could only muster 5 hits and take no walks against the right-handed Hence, who controlled them throughout the game as Eugene took the contest, 6-0. Hence added 6 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Hence told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." Hence has fashioned a 2-4 mark for the season, 5.30 ERA and thrown 37.1 innings in 7 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .264 against him.
