Great Day for Axe -- 5 Hits Saturday, July 29th , 2023 Denver Axe said "it felt like taking batting practice" today at Everett Memorial Stadium, and it showed in the box score. The Boise shortstop had a fantastic 5-for-6 day against the Everett AquaSox, leading his club to victory, 11-1. "I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Axe said later." Denver Axe singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. This season Axe has delivered 64 hits in 218 at-bats for a .294 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .328 clip and his totals also include 26 RBIs and 32 runs scored.
