The future looks extremely bright for Austin Jones. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in Northwest League.

Jones has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Northwest League Hitter of the Year Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .363 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said.

The Tri-City Dust Devils star also put up a .430 on-base percentage this year, with 102 hits, 22 doubles, 3 triples, 23 home runs, 65 RBIs and 57 runs scored.

He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jalen Perry of the Tri-City Dust Devils finished second in voting, while Jeffrey Anderson of the Spokane Indians finished third.
