Kingsport Starter Selected Best Pitcher Thursday, September 1st , 2022 This month when the Kingsport manager wrote the name "Walls" on the lineup card, he was confident that he would get a good start out of him. Outing after outing in August Mark Walls took command and usually got the win. He dominated with a 3-0 mark and 0.00 ERA in 4 starts, piling up 22.1 innings and 21 strikeouts and holding opposing teams to a .143 average. For his superb performance Walls was named the Appalachian League Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. On the year Walls has worked 43.1 innings with 39 strikeouts en route to a 3-1 record and 1.45 ERA. |
