Arroyo Cracks 5 Hits
Tuesday, September 20th , 2022
Elizabethton shortstop Edwin Arroyo had a day to remember today, 5-for-6 against the Princeton Rays at Joe O'Brien Field as the Twins picked up a 21-5 victory.
"He was patient up there today," Elizabethton skipper Brian Bogusevic told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Arroyo has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Edwin Arroyo hit a solo-shot off Nolan Schubart in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Nolan Schubart in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
Arroyo is hitting .273 for the season with 9 home runs, 42 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 63 hits in 231 at-bats and played in 62 games.
