Mariners Fernández Named ARL's #1 Player Monday, September 18th , 2023 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Arizona League, but last week Roberto Fernández of the Peoria (SEA) Mariners reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Fernández rocked opposing pitching for a .480 average (12-for-25), no home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award. This year Fernández has collected a .291 batting average to date with 25 hits in 86 at-bats, 18 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 10 times. He has played in 46 games. |
