LF Pattison Given 2-Game Suspension Friday, September 22nd , 2023 Mesa (OAK)'s Will Pattison made contact with the home plate umpire during a dispute in the game with the Cubs yesterday and he will have to pay for it. Pattison violently disagreed when he was called out on strikes. During the intense discussion he bumped chests with the umpire and was immediately tossed out of the game. Today the league commissioner gave him a 2-game suspension. Still steamed by it, Pattison told BNN, "I think the ump bumped me and he is the one who should be suspended. I'm going to appeal this sucker." This season Pattison is swinging the bat at a .192 pace. He has hit 3 home runs and scored 26 times, while driving in 19. His on-base percentage is .299 and he has played in 53 games. |
