15-K Game for Giants Villers Friday, September 22nd , 2023 Ian Villers of the Scottsdale (SF) Giants put on a pitching clinic today at Scottsdale Stadium as he struck out 15 Goodyear (CIN) Reds in a 8-0 victory. Villers, who is tied for 2nd in the ARL with a 0.94 WHIP, was simply magnificent as he held the Reds to 2 hits. He walked 1. "I felt okay at the beginning," Villers said, "but eventually my curveball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Villers's performance, Giants manager Erik Bakich shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
