Hillcats Advance to Championship Series
California Winter League pundits who figured the Division Series between the Lynchburg Hillcats and Visalia Rawhide would go the distance were right on the mark.

The two teams battled back and forth in a spirited series, with Lynchburg coming out on top thanks to a 13-3 win in the deciding game at Recreation Park, to wrap things up 3-2.

"You get to the last game and anything can happen, so we're overjoyed to come out on top," said Hillcats second baseman Rob Marti, who was named series MVP.

For the series, Marti had 11 hits for a .478 average. He had 1 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
