Mudcats Win Division series
|
Depending on your loyalties, the Division series was either thrilling or heartbreaking.
The series went down to its final game, with the Carolina Mudcats and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Mudcats came out on top, winning 3-0 at Grainger Stadium today to take the series 3-2.
"We're lucky to be going into the League Championship Series," said Carolina pitcher Rich Pierce. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason."
Pierce earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .350 average, with 1 home runs, 1 RBI and 6 runs scored.
The League Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division series finishes.
