Victoria turned a good effort from starter Zhao-ying Nan into a win over the Oakland Oaks at Ballpark of Victoria. The final score was 2-1. Victoria reliever Manny Estevez was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Josh Justin took the loss. The Capitals improved to 69-66.

Justin Baum gave Victoria a good at-bat in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the bases empty, he hit a solo home run to help send Victoria to the win.

"We found a way to get it done," Baum said.
