Braves Turn Back St. Louis, 5-3
|
The Atlanta Braves picked up a win at Turner Field, knocking off the St. Louis Cardinals, 5-3. Starting pitcher Nolan Stefanski played a key role in the triumph. St. Louis's current losing streak is now 4 games.
The Braves got a big hit from catcher Victor Rangel. Facing St. Louis pitcher Tim Wybenga in the bottom of the fifth, Rangel pounded a run-scoring double to left. His 11th double of the season put the Braves ahead, 4-2.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Rangel.
