Twins Drop Close One Late
The Minnesota Twins got a superb performance from pitcher Ted Mosley, but the Cleveland Guardians still won the game, 6-5. Mosley threw 5.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Cleveland reliever John Owens picked up the win to move to 4-5. Cahya Sumual suffered the loss. After today's action, Cleveland sits at 69-80; Minnesota slips to 60-89.

The Guardians were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 39-year old second baseman Josh Froyd landed a big blow. He turned a first pitch fastball from Cahya Sumual into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Progressive Field denizens into a frenzy and sent the Guardians home with a thrilling 6-5 win.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Froyd told the Cleveland Observer.
