End of a Dream: Career Over for Shintani Wednesday, May 1st , 2052 Ryuuichi Shintani, the 25-year-old shortstop for the Bowie Baysox, has decided to retire from baseball. He recently had been receiving medical treatment for a torn labrum. The injury not only will end his season, but also his career. "I have no regrets," said Shintani. "I gave it all I had." The sport will sorely miss Shintani and his contributions. For the season Shintani is batting .234 with 15 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 8 times and batted in 7. |
