Bias Blisters Quad Cities Sunday, August 6th , 2051 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Isaiah Bias today -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at Fifth Third Ballpark, but the performance lost a little luster when the Whitecaps were downed 3-1 by the Quad Cities River Bandits. After his glittering performance, the West Michigan catcher told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat." His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. "I just wish we had added a win in the record book today, too," Bias said. Isaiah Bias singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this year, Bias is batting .419 with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs. |
