Mike Berzins Sidelined for 6 Weeks Thursday, August 24th , 2051 The Kernels received bad news this morning. Mike Berzins will miss 6 weeks due to a fractured finger. He sustained the injury in the Cedar Rapids-Kannapolis game while being hit by a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Berzins sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." Berzins is batting .299 with 4 home runs and 32 RBIs this season. |
