No Playoff Berth Coming for Delmarva Saturday, September 16th , 2051 It certainly could have been worse this year for the Delmarva Shorebirds, but that does not mean it was a season to remember. The team was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. Delmarva last appeared in the postseason in 2049. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 23 times in their 36-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Shorebirds have missed the playoffs 6 times. Delmarva last won the World Series in 2018. |
