Playoffs Won't Happen for River Bandits Thursday, September 21st , 2051 Even the most die-hard fans of the Quad Cities River Bandits will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said River Bandits reliever Justin Williams. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." This is the club's 17th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2034. In total, the River Bandits have missed the playoffs 32 times in their 36-year history. |
