Fernandez Stops Aberdeen Wednesday, May 29th , 2052 In a very sharp performance at Ripken Stadium, Gerardo Fernandez of the Hudson Valley Renegades blanked the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 5-0. He permitted 2 hits and finished with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk in the Renegades victory. "Gerardo goes out there and just goes about his business," Renegades manager Tomonori Shintani said in his postgame press conference. "I don't think he gets too concerned about what's going on. No matter the pitch, you know he's going to be where he needs to be." This year Fernandez has earned no saves, worked 47 innings, fanned 57 hitters and recorded a 0.77 ERA.
