Friday, June 28th , 2052
Warren Carmichael of the Brooklyn Cyclones came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats for the first time in 23 games. Making matters even worse for the first baseman, Brooklyn dropped the game to the State College Spikes 3-1.

"It was not a good day today," Carmichael told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over."

So far this season Carmichael is batting .313 with 7 home runs, 36 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 83 hits in 265 at-bats, 21 walks and a .369 OBP. Carmichael has played in 70 games.
