25 Games in a Row for Butner Tuesday, December 12th , 2051 Zack Butner, left fielder for the Clemson University Tigers, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 2 hits in his club's 10-4 victory today over the Wichita State University Shockers at Eck Stadium today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Zack Butner grounded out in the 2nd, hit a three-run double in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and singled in the 9th. To date, Butner has collected 76 hits for a .310 average.
