Yunosuke Takahashi Hurls No-No Against Wichita State University
Saturday, January 13th , 2052
The Ohio State University Buckeyes relied on no-hit stuff from starter Yunosuke Takahashi to defeat the Wichita State University Shockers 16-0 at Eck Stadium today.
"It's quite a thrill," Takahashi told the media afterward. "This is a top-notch league. A no-hitter against any team in the league is something special. I can't believe I did it."
To get his name logged in the Division 2 records, he stopped Wichita State University cold and hitless, surrendering 2 walks and fanning 12 of the 29 batters he faced.
Ohio State University manager Roberto Vasquez was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that Takahashi "made managing easy today."
"I didn't have hardly any decisions to make like I usually do," he said. "I didn't even have to come up with a pinch hitter."
This season Takahashi has 19 wins and 3 losses and a 2.23 ERA.
