It happened today when Chad Campbell of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Tar Heels scattered 5 hits all over Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium against the Rice University Owls. The first baseman was subdued in the postgame interview, however, saying University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's 4-2 loss robbed his big day of its luster. "It was a good day for me, but not a good day for us," he said. "The bottom line in sports is to win and we couldn't do that today." Chad Campbell singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the year, Campbell has hit at a .230 clip with 19 RBIs, 2 home runs and 39 runs scored. |
