Astros Drop 2-1 Decision
|
Ryan Jensen brought his A-game to help Colorado defeat the Houston Astros, 2-1. Felix Norniella notched his 10th save in 13 chances. With the win, Colorado pushed its record to 48-38.
The Rockies got a big at-bat from second baseman Jackson Merrill. For the game, Merrill was 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Colorado a 1-0 lead.
"Ryan gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Colorado skipper Justin Nichols.
