Brewers Defeat Rays, 7-4
|
The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 7-4, at American Family Field. Dylan Carlson, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 6 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Milwaukee reliever Toshiichi Shimabukuro, now 3-1. The loser was Conor Grammes. The loss makes Tampa Bay 70-53.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With two out, Carlson hit a slider from Conor Grammes for a 3-run home run. The Brewers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Carlson. "I like it."
