Phillies Down Diamondbacks, 3-2
|
The Philadelphia Phillies and Arizona Diamondbacks played an exciting game.
Philadelphia starter Tanner Houck had a strong outing against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Citizens Bank Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Luis De La Rosa, credited with the win, is now 8-6. He allowed no runs on no hits.
The Phillies procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Dave Pryor. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Pete Phillies GM, the Philadelphia skipper. "This one tested us."
The Diamondbacks, at 40-97, have lost 5 straight games.
