Ballard Boosts Hit Streak to 25 Games Thursday, September 11th , 2031 Nobody has been able to shut down Hickory Crawdads center fielder Devon Ballard in recent days. The Jersey Shore BlueClaws fared no better than the rest. Today at FirstEnergy Park, Ballard picked up 3 hits in 5 at-bats en route to a 7-1 Crawdads victory. It stretched his hitting string to 25 consecutive games. Devon Ballard grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Ballard is hitting .307 for the season with 19 home runs, 65 RBIs and 68 runs scored. He has 151 hits in 492 at-bats and played in 133 games. |
