Grasshoppers Move on to Round 2 Monday, September 22nd , 2031 The Greensboro Grasshoppers are on to the Round 2, having knocked out the Winston-Salem Dash 4-1. The final blow came tonight at Truist Stadium, where Greensboro sealed the Round 1 with a 6-3 triumph. Cortez Alvarez was instrumental in the series win and was given MVP honors. Alvarez hit .450 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Greensboro Grasshoppers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Wilmington Blue Rocks - Brooklyn Cyclones series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
