Texier Blanks Ports, 4-0 Wednesday, September 8th , 2032 It wasn't easy but Gery Texier made it look that way. Texier silenced the Stockton Ports, 4-0, in a Rancho Cucamonga Quakes triumph at Banner Island Ballpark. Despite the appearance of dominance, Texier said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 4 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." Over the season Texier has thrown 52.2 innings and dished out 32 strikeouts with a 2-4 mark and a 2.91 ERA. |
