Orioles Warg Smacks 5 Hits Thursday, July 15th , 2032 Baltimore (GCL) Orioles catcher Eric Warg had a day to remember at Ed Smith Stadium, ripping apart the Philadelphia W (GCL) Phillies West and sparking the 23-2 Orioles win. Warg wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Warg told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Eric Warg grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
