Good production from left fielder Rubén García helped the Cincinnati Reds topple the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-6. García slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Reds. The winning pitcher was Willie Clark. He tossed 86 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. Wes Collier was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 27 of 29 save opportunities.

With Cincinnati leading 2-0 in the top of the third, García hit a fastball from Nic Griffin for a grand slam home run. It was his 27th home run of the season and put the Reds ahead, 6-0.
