Mal Reed left his imprint on the 6-4 Los Angeles win against the Toronto Blue Jays. Reed, who finished 5th in the AL in slugging percentage with .495 last year, was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Johnathan Rice collected save number 2. The win gives Los Angeles a record of 3-0.

With Los Angeles leading 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Reed hit a slider from Salvador Martínez for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Angels ahead, 6-2.

"I still think this team can play even better," Reed told the Los Angeles Bulletin.
