Núñez Tosses 4-0 Shutout
In an outstanding mound performance, Houston Astros starter Diego Núñez fired a complete-game shutout against the Boston Red Sox at Minute Maid Park today.

Núñez was the key to the Astros's 4-0 win. The 32-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 5 hits and 3 walks he allowed.

"5 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout."

In 9 starts this season Núñez has rung up a 5-2 record and a 2.56 ERA.
